e-net is a platform through which knowledge and experiences can be shared and exchanged on technologies and best practices pertaining to a variety of issues within the South Asian Energy sector with the overall aim of enhancing access to energy by the poor. The emphasis of the discussions facilitated through this forum will be on community based decentralized renewable energy options. The forum is designed to improve the ties between different stakeholders, and to effectively and collaboratively engage in lobbying for pro-poor, sustainable, renewable energy policies within the region.
e-net is an initiative of Practical Action and provides its members access to a variety of information outlets and the ability to share their views and experiences. Members can take part in forum discussion, post comments, and initiate discussions, as well as upload research papers, case studies of best practices, resource material, and copies of the e-net magazine (published bi-annualy).
