"Sustainable energy for all" Stamp Launch
A stamp was launched by Practical Action-Janathakshan along with the Sustainable Energy Authority and Ministry of Postal Services of Sri Lanka in the month of March. This was done to spread awareness about the importance of sustainable energy specially since this is the year of "Sustainable Energy for All".

Event Postponed to May 2012 due to unavoidable circumstances ( dates will be announced in end March)......
original posting -> 20th March 2012, one day event on promoting the concept of Total Energy Access , and presenting a developed demonstration plan with the particpation of all stakeholders from Orissa and SA region- organised by OREDA, State government Orissa, Practical Action.

Bio Gas for waste water treatment a novel technology
Waste water from desiccated coconut industry and others being used to generate Bio gas thus giving duel benefits of waste water treatment and power generation. a novel technology introduced by Mr Athula Jayamanne Vice President of Sri Lanka Bio Gas Association, former senior research engineer from NERDC sri lanka, invites interested individuals to discuss the potential application of the technology in the South Asian region, this discussion is conducted in collaboration with Sri Lanka Bio Gas Association.
